That some of our neighboring countries have illustrious HipHop-scenes should already be well known. Yet only a few people have their eye on Belgian rap. Blu Samu is one of the better known representatives of the music culture in Brussels, that is getting more and more exciting as we speak. The artist, who combines rap and trap elements with soulfully sung parts grew up in Antwerpen, then got in contact with the formation Le77 and has been active as a rapper for about a year. Already her debut single “I run” shows that Salomé, Samu’s civilian name, is not afraid to tackle heavy topics in her music.
