Attention, we are entering experimental waters: Buttress is one of my newest discoveries. Her dark presentation and her selection of samples had me hooked from the get-go. And yet, Buttress sees herself much more as a filmmaker and uses her music as an extension of her audiovisual possibilities. Considering that, the multi-talented artist still raps her ass off – and draws you in with her emotional performances to such an extent that you have to re-watch her videos as soon as they are over.
