Tay Moneys Musik weist starke Einflüsse ihres Aufwachsens in den Südstaaten der USA auf. 2018 geht die Rapperin mit ihrem viralen Hit „Trapper’s Delight“ durch die Decke und veröffentlich bereits kurze Zeit später ihre erste EP „DUH!“.
Tay Money, die gebürtig Taylor Noelle Watson heißt, wird in Athens, Texas geboren.
2015 zieht es die junge Künstlerin jedoch nach Dallas, um ihrer musikalischen Karriere Schwung zu verschaffen. Vor ihrer Rap-Karriere arbeitete sie fünf Jahre lang als Friseurin. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt baut sie bereits online mit wie Tracks „Lewis & Clark“, „Na Na“ und „Moneyway“ eine Fan-Community auf.
Die Künstlerin steht daraufhin nicht still und veröffentlicht 2019 ihre erste LP „Hurricane Tay“. Es folgen weitere Tracks in den kommenden Monaten und bereits ein Jahr nach ihrem Debütalbum, folgt 2020 ihr zweites Album „Blockedt“.
